How does Allstate benefit from this insurance plan?

by San Francisco Home Insurance on September 2, 2010

I have Allstate. Not ONE SINGLE complaint. My full coverage is lower than Gieco’s liability (for car insurance).

Today my Allstate agent called me and offered me -home owner’s insurance-.
After my total (home and car) was summed… My total was LOWER than my original full coverage (with Allstate).

How does this benefit them? They’re making less money with the chances I will need to make a claim increased…
Sounds too good to be true. From my understanding my current living situation shouldn’t increase my insurance – if anything it’ll only get cheaper.

What do you guys think?

One happy customer could turn into more happy customers. An insurance company’s standing is only as good as it’s customer base. They count on word of mouth referrals to grow their business, so they’re hoping that you (and their other customers) will tell others about it.

think of allstate as the casino/you are the player/they bet you wont have a splat and burn the house down and they ask you to ante up/you do ante up/no claims no expense to the casino/multiply it and presto/odds are with the house

I think they may have either been overcharging you before or they have rated your new policies wrong now. But…….."leave sleeping dogs lie"
